As a retired partner of a prestigious Am Law 100 law firm, she built a distinguished career spanning four decades advising providers, clinics, hospitals, and private equity and venture capital firms on complex transactions and regulatory compliance matters. Previously, Brendi served as legal counsel to the Metropolitan Government in Nashville, Tennessee. She reformed the Metropolitan Hospital Authority Board and completed the relocation of Metro General Hospital in a multi-party collaboration with <em><i>Meharry Medical College<\/i><\/em> and <em><i>Vanderbilt University Medical Center<\/i><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout her career, Brendi has successfully led the formation and management of mergers and acquisitions legal teams, guiding projects through strategic planning, due diligence, negotiation, financing, and documentation in hundreds of healthcare transactions throughout the United States. Her expertise encompasses various sectors, including optometry, dentistry, orthodontia, physical therapy, functional medicine, ambulatory surgical, pharmacy, chiropractic, and urgent care.<\/p>\n<p>Brendi is a graduate of the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law. She remains active in various alumni groups as well as local and national bar associations. She is a member of the 2013 class of Leadership Middle Tennessee and the 2016 class of Fellows of the Nashville Bar Foundation. Brendi has served as a Mentor for the NBF Leadership Forum, and as an independent judge for the Better Business Bureau Torch Awards recognizing businesses for their high ethical business practices and commitment to the community.
